Wellbeing Week 2018: Football

Anxiety and depression has been a big part of my life ever since I was young, and still is now.

Football helps me to forget about all of my worries, problems and bad thoughts. Nothing affects me when I’m playing football and being around people who I trust helps me to be more confident and relaxed.

Winning the BUCS Northern Premier League with the Men’s 1st team this year has increased my confidence and motivation massively because it just shows despite whatever is going on, you can still achieve whatever you want to!

Stop the stigma. It’s okay to talk!
