The Nottingham Trent Rowing Club (NTUBC) is celebrating a successful month following the BUCS regatta from the 5th-7th of May. Held at the National Water Sports Centre on the edge of Nottingham, the weekend gave all club members the opportunity to come together and experience the largest Student Regatta in Europe.
We had a few good results over the weekend with a good number of crews entering the A, B and C finals for each of their respective boat class. The Men’s Championship Quad battled hard in the A Final being only 3 seconds off Bronze and the Men’s Intermediate Lightweight Single Scull reaching 3rd in the C Final. Our Girls Intermediate Doubles also reached the A finals and the Intermediate Quad making a B Final. As well as this our Women’s Intermediate Lightweight Single Scull reaching 3rd in the A Final achieving Bronze. Our newest members, the novices, also did well with the Girls Quad reaching a C Final; show much potential after one year of taking up the sport.
As a club we are now looking towards the other regattas of the year, including Nottingham City Regatta and some crews considering the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta (4th-8th July) and Henley Women’s Regatta (22nd-24th July).
