What are the barriers to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students accessing NTU Sports activities?

Removing barriers and promoting inclusivity

Who do we want to hear from?

We want to hear from students from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

What do we want to know?

NTU Sport wants to explore the barriers to accessing NTU Sports activities as perceived by students from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

What does this project involve?

NTU Sport are looking for volunteers to take part in two online focus groups. Each focus group will require you to produce a quick doodle, which you will then discuss in a group. The doodles will remain anonymous and should take no more than 5mins to produce.

When are the focus groups?

These focus groups will start from the week commencing 22 February and will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 5:00-7:00pm.

What will NTU Sport do with the information?

We will listen to your feedback and recommendations and make changes to improve our offer with the aim to making our programmes more inclusive.

What do you get?

Each participant of the focus groups will receive either a three-month * NTU Active Membership or a £20 Amazon Gift Voucher in recognition for their time.

*If you select the active gym membership reward, your membership will commence once our facilities reopen.

How to get involved?

Simply complete our short form by 16 February registering your interest if you would like to take part in the Engagement Project. NTU Sport will contact you if you have been successful with your application
